Description of Work:
Horizontal composition of two beached sailboats with a boathouse in the near distance at dusk. The foreground of the painting shows land cutting across the canvas at a diagonal from the lower left corner to the middle lower third of the picture. The shore is grassy and not beach-like. The middle-ground of the painting has two sailboats beached on the grass at center canvas. In the further middle ground is the silhouette of a boathouse/beach shanty. The horizon line is at the lower third of the painting. The sea is a light gray-blue white. The dusk sky is moody with approximately four small bunches of clouds that melt into the toned sky of blue, yellow, gray. [ECA]
