Changes in the Martin B. Koon memorial collection

—Two paintings, Spring in the Valley, by Arthur B. Davies, and Homeward by Charles Melville Dewey, have been withdrawn from the Martin B. Koon Memorial Collection and two other paintings substituted in their stead. These are Woodland Scene, by Emil Carlsen, and The Toilet, by Frederic Carl Frieseke. The forest scene, by Carlsen, displays the delightful texture characteristic of the artist, and a blond harmony of color that is especially attractive. The Frieseke, with its joyous color, is a splendid example of the recent work of this master, who holds so distinguished a position among our modern American painters.”
