“Artists and art jurors to be entertained here
The department of fine arts, Carnegie Institute, will be host during the coming week to the members of the Jury of Award for the twenty-third international and to the members of the American advisory committee.
The advisory committee, which will meet at the institute on Thursday, is made up of the following artists: Karl Anderson of Westportm Conn.; Emil Carlsen of New York; Johanna K. W. Hailman of Pittsburgh; John C. Johansen of New York; Rockwell Kent of Arlington, Vt.; Gari Melehers and Joan Sloan of New York.
The members of the Jury of Award are Paul Albert Besnard of Paris, A. J. Munnings of London, Rockwell Kent of Arlington, Vt. and Emil Carlsen of New York.
M. Besnard and Madame Besnard, who will accompany him to this country, will be the guest of Director Emeritus of Fine Arts John W. Beatty and Mrs. Beatty at their home onRichland lane. Mr. Munnings and members of the American advisory committee will be the guests of the department of fine arts at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association.
A formal dinner for all of the guest will be given by the fine arts committee at the Pittsburgh Golf Club on Thursday evening.”
