“Carnegie exhibition
Pittsburgh, June 5.—The American committee of selection for the 29th Carnegie Institute International was announced today by Edward Duff Balken, acting director of Fine Arts.
The members’ names are: Charles Burchfield, Emil Carlsen, Bernard Kariol, Ross Moffett, and Moffett, in addition to being on the American committee, will serve with three European artists on the jury award.
The American committee will meet first in New York, Sept. 11, and at Pittsburgh on Sept. 22. They will pass on paintings submitted by American artists for the exhibition. The jury of award will meet in Pittsburgh Sept. 23, to decide the Carnegie honors and the Albert S. Lehman prize and purchase funds. The 29th International will open on Oct. 16, and extend through Dec. 7, 1930.”
