Description of Work:
A horizontal composition of a series of farmhouse buildings in a field set against a tree line with the moon rising. The paintings foreground is of a green simplified field. The middle-ground is of a simplified grey series of four or five farm buildings. They are block-like and begin just left of canvas center and continue to the right but end before the edge and are contained within the picture. The focus of the painting is of the bright moon rising, left of center canvas, above the tree line set in the mid-ground. The sky is a grayed-blue of the night sky. The horizon line is about one-third from the bottom of the canvas. The farm buildings, treeline and moon occupy the middle third and the sky occupies the top third plus. [ECA]
